Here in Milford, a group of us ladies joined together on that chilly Sunday morning (the morning of the day of that other big football game...) and played our little hearts out!Read More

Customers, especially the regulars, are also made to feel like kin. (Me included!)... Tonight, I had the privilege to join them, along with my parents and so, so many others, for a viewing party of their competition on Chopped; Family Edition!Read More
Two thumbs up from me for Brené Brown's new book Rising Strong! ... I love her ability to take common experiences and frame them in a very relatable way that helps the reader understand that this lady gets it. She has been there, done that, and done deep work to progress in her relationships with herself and also others. In this book she takes her experiences and knowledge (she is a Ph.D and LMSW) to give concrete advice that the average person can use to move forward and grow.Read More
After checking with my doctor to see if it would be ok for me to use, and getting the green light from him, I bought a bottle and haven't been without it in the house ever since.Read More

My late husband always feels close. There are times that his presence is palpable though, and at those times, Abby The Labbu seems to feel it too.
His professional cooking supplies have always been kept in the basement at the bottom of the stairs. They remain there, and every now and then Abby will act like Larry is down there puttering around. She is doing it tonight- I wonder if we are having a visit from my angel in heaven.
She opened the basement door with her nose, (I rarely latch it, so it is simple for her, though she doesn't do it often,) and stood at the top of the stairs, staring down. She paced around a bit, and tried to get my attention by whining, then laid down and stared down the stairwell, like she has always done when one of us went down there.
I believe that our loved ones who pass never actually leave us. It is so reassuring to know that I am not the only one in the house to know when Larry is here, paying a visit and sending his love.
One thing we can all use is extra money. My budget is super tight, and I am so grateful I found this way to be able to cashflow Christmas this year without taking anything away from another area or using credit cards.Read More
This wonderful video shows a new trend that is developing to allow those doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, aides, and all others in attendance at a death to perform a bit of "self-care" and reflect on the person who passed and their own feelings.Read More
